I have a custom Tune from WORKS, pully, headers, GReddy Ti-C Exhaust, Injen CAI, with my CVT I ran a 15.7 1/4 mile. In theory a 5 speed could run with a RA with these same mods and a good driver

Ya I can understand that, I really don't care either way. I am most likely not gonna be with my GTS much longer unless some serious aftermarket attention comes its way before the lease is up. The ball park estimate could easily be off but I have seen a RA owner admit it got taken by the RRM Lancer. Just thought I'd throw my .02 on this thread.

Well let's not forget that a stock RA is hardly a beast. It only has 237 HP, it weighs quite a bit and with AWD, it loses a lot of power before it hits the ground.

Well of course I am not saying the stock RA is much, just saying a turbo lancer will do fine against a stock RA. Personally I am thinking of picking up an RA after my lease with the GTS is up. I heard AMS has a RA pushing somewhere around 350whp (evo turbo, boost pill, and a couple AMS goodies) and if I recall there is a 400whp RA runnin around some where... Most of what I've read they share the same potential as an MR. I am not a fan of the TC-SST but at least then my wife could drive it with out slowly destroying my clutch.

It doesn't surprise me one bit that a lighter, FWD car can beat the Ralliart. It's a matter of power to weight ratio. I haven't heard of this 350 WHP RA, the highest I've heard is 300 WHP and it hit the torque protection. A 400 WHP RA sounds very unlikely at the moment.

can i ask why you wouldnt just get an EVO?who cares,you can make alot if stuff fast,might as well start with the best platform.get an 8,9 or 10.besides paddle shifting FTL!!!drive a stick like a real car.

as you can see in my last post I said if I go with the RA my wife can drive it. I don't like TC-SST's or CVT's but I need a car my wife can drive as well since we are most likely getting rid of her car soon. And I am getting tired of hearing the whole why don't you just buy an evo... there is a 10k difference in the cars, I'm 20 and already paying $250 a month for the GTS (was 325), and A MS3 which is cheaper insurance rates than the evo was quoted at 650-700/month. THAT is why I can't just get an EVO. Once I turn 24 I hope I'll have one but as for now with the cost of living in this god forsaken hell hole and insurance rates here I will not be having an evo anytime soon.
