i bought the rrm headers for my 03 lancer oz rally. i got a good deal through them with the hi flow cat. so now i have header to original down pipe to hi flow cat to custom made cat back magniflow 2.25" exhaust. the problem is when it hits between 3,000-4,000 rpm depending on how hard im pushing the gas it starts to make a crackling noise like those cheap *** exhausts. im thinking it is either creating to much or not enough air flow in the pipes and is causing some kinda of pressure or vaccum in the exhaust that is making the noise. has anyone had this problem or know what is wrong imma try to get a video up with the sound soon.

 

It sounds normal to me.

 

Sounds like what my old RRM headers used to do. Seemed fine to me.

I have kamikaze's and they kind of buzz when I go above 4k RPM...no solution has been found...get used to it

 

Ya i have had the RRM header on my car now for 9 months, and it still does it. You'll get use to it no worries. It is normal
