need help please My Evo 9 Mr makes a vibrating metal like sound when just cruising and I push the gas
to the floor and give it load. Doesn't really matter wich gear I have it in. It doesn't do it all the the time , just once in a while. Dealor replaced ACD pump but noise is still their. Is there any one else that has had this problem? thanks in advance.

Where is the sound coming from? under the car, under the hood or inside? Can you hear it when it idles?

I could be a rusted part that has fallen off and hitting another part. Exhaust shields are a common problem for this.

 

It's coming from under the car some where. I can feel it on my foot a little when I give the car full throttle. For example: if I'm going down a street doing 35ish in fourth gear and push the gas to the floor I hear the noise . It's almost like a buzzing sound. could it be the transfer case?

 

Don't here it when it idles.

Just so happends I'm in the Lancer forums researching a GTS for my girl. Anyway, if your exhaust is stock... check the heat shields. If it has a upgraded exhaust... check the downpipe and see if it's rattling against the cross brace.
