Head bolts

So my car jumped timing a few weeks ago and i was lucky. Pulled the head off and every thing was fine. No bent valves or scared pistions. I was wondering is it safe to reuse the old head bolts or should i get new ones. My car isn't boosted ( Have a 90 Talon for that) and its only a daily driver with limited mods. Any thoughts

Well... To be honest, the Lancer head bolts are TTY (torque to yield) headbolts and shouldn't be used more than once. They do have a stretch tolerance that can be measured to see if used head bolts are still within spec, but I would play it safe and go with new ones. I would also throw in a new headgasket while you're at it to be on the safe side.

I knew about the stretch tolerance but...... I was just checking if anyone has tried to reuse them. I just ordered a head gasket overhaul set from Rockauto.com and some new head bolts. Thanks for the reply
