Intake for an '03 ES???

Looking to put a cold air intake on my ES. NOT A SHORT RAM.

Im hearing that its possible but you have to do some moving around because my transmission is automatic and the tranny is bigger?

Has anyone had luck with putting a Cold air in their automatic or making some mods to fit one?

Id appreciate suggestions and pics if possible. Thanks.

so if i have to do more custom piping than my friend is willing do for me...then will i have to do any shifting if i do decide to settle for just a ram?

not looking to do huuuge changes under the hood..

maybe a dumb question but...whats the upper ic pipe?
you have a turbo and everything - as you can see im still a beginner. lol
is the second pic just the short ram you had and the first pic is what you upgraded to (the upper ic pipe i guess)?

yea i have gone turbo now and the upper ic pipe is what goes from the intercooler (ic) to the throttle body and for short ram u just got to take out ur stock air box and put it in not really that hard to do

Just curious, but why does it really matter to you?

I've seen people squeeze a cai in around the trans, so it can be done.

Well obviously I want to install one on my car and would prefer it over a short ram.

That's why it 'really matters' to me...

Why not take some 3" pvc pipe and make one? just get some straight pieces and some elbows and go to town I think that would be fun and it would work mint for sure
