Magnecor Spark Plug Wires
Where can i get these spark plug wires and are they specifically for the '02 lancer? also what are the best spark plugs to get since I have turbo now
i also heard our cars have no distributor...so does that mean we cant get any kind of msd ignition?

Yes the cables are application specific. The Lancer has two coils over the #2 and 4 cylinders (argh...don't have my car here). Those two cylinders are direct fire while the #1 and 3 cylinders stem from the coil packs. The MSD DIS-2 ignition was believed to have worked but our friends from the Mirage boards enlightened us that odds are it doesn't work. Something about the stock coils firing twice per cycle. Aftermarket coils would be necessary to use the MSD setup.
I've seen the 8.5 mm magnecore wires on www.lancered.com
About the spark plugs...the iridium ones are supposed to be really good...

Mag wires should be the same as the 1.8L mirage from 97-02 since using the same block 4g9x. You will get 2 wires for approx 80 bucks (Mag has to pay a royalty to incorporate its design towards Mistu spec). It's a properitary thing.
Whenever our group gets together again, I'll take off my wires, put them on a lancer, and fire it up . . . takes pics too. So far, weather hasn't helped us. We're 3 for 3 setting a meeting and rained on us.
Also, Mag wires will not give you HP. It will make your motor fire/rev a bit faster towards redline. About at max +10 to 15% faster in the right weather/fuel condition . . . remember I have auto tranny. It doesn't take much to feel its effect on the car, but manual is a different story. You might not feel it at all.
