Your determination will win it for you. If you want I may sell my custom equal length SS manifold (pictured in my avatar) and Turbonetics T3 Super 60 because I recently (only presumably because I'm still in tear-down mode) blew a piston and am in need of cash. The Manifold does require a little cutting back of the hood's underside support but has not caused any issues on my car. The turbo WILL spool and it will generate boost pretty quickly (maybe a tiny bit slower than a T28 from my limited experiance with them), but it won't just blow hot air up top. There's also a Turbonetics Deltagate wastegate attached.

I don't mean to turn this into a for sale, but if nothing else it'll give you an idea of one of the larger turbos (and it isn't even that large) being run on Lancers.

Anywho, best of luck. I hope everything works out well for you, because I know how it feels to be at war with your car.

Uh, given that I live reasonably close, have you done the porting yet? If so, did you notice anything? For a decent gain and a decent price, I'd make the drive...

Well, rather then sell everything off what turbo do you have?

Ever thought about looking at a compressor map and picking a correctly sized turbo for your engine?????

I thought the lancer had a 2.4L??? T3 should be fine with that much displacement. but you might need a different wheel or A/R.

The T3 is fine. It's (imo) the perfect turbo for the Lancer. But it doesn't spool very well on a blown piston and a car that doesn't start.

It would do more good for me right now recovering some money to fix my car than it would sitting in my garage. I'll rebuild again when I have cash again.

Of course, if you could port my car and get me a decent HP gain, NJ is about as far away...

Hmmm. Multiply your estimate by 10 and u get 9psi of boost and a reflashed ECU by ///RRM.

Actually, the Lancer only displaces 2.0 Liters. The new '04 Lancer RALLIART displaces 2.4L.

All other Lancer models (from '02-'04) use a 120hp 2.0L.

Porting

I did the aem cold air intake, took the cat off and made my own test pipe and then took it for a drive and noticed a little bit of a difference in tire bark and take off but not a whole lot.
Maybe about 15hp or 20hp.
Then I did the porting WHICH WAS A PAIN, I haven't done 4 cylinders in a while but fair warning, when you do the porting make dam sure you use a caliper and try not to go over 3 mil, you can hear the pitch change of your tool if you get too close to a water jacket but dont always count on it just dont go over 3 mil and youll be ok.
Unless you know how to do the combustion chamber I wouldn't do a lot in there, by porting in the combustion chamber and using copper head gasket shims you can raise the comperssion a little bit, I did how ever make a kick *** flame groove in there that you can take to any machine shop and have that done for about 70 or 80 bucks.
I did test drive the car after the porting and polishing and noticed a very big difference, the throttle response was improved, take off on clean concrete tires spun very good, much improvment on acceleration all the way around, I can honestly say that I was happy with the way the car took to that upgrade it was well worth the work.
I will accept heads from people that are in the lancer forum
if they pay shipping to and from, I can do the head in one day
if you just want match porting but if you want port and polish at least 2 days because sometimes I get backed up with other cars that come and go through out the day.
Contact me for prices and ill try to beat anyone that I can just keep in mind these bits ant cheep and considering im porting at 35,000rpm I get the job done fairly quick until I start sanding at about my 500 to 700 finish grit but I go through some bits.

You could ship it to me overnight and I could do the work in about a day then I could ship it back to you overnight and the ship back overnight wouldnt cost half as much as you getting it to me.
Ahh! the benifits of being LLC.
But if your gonna drive down here keep in mind theres a machine shop two industrial buildings down from me and to my back is the industrial park and the coolest thing is theres a gov- windtunnel test facility where, during lunchtime you can sometimes persuade the government goofheads to let you run your car through for a small fee and test out that new hood scoop or tail fin.
Gimme a holler let me know what you want to do.

Yes, but i was too impatient.

Mines not the ralliart, 2002 oz 2.0.
I couldnt get a smaller wheel for this stupid thing
because if memory serves me right its supposed to be an IDI turbo and the F-350 I know for sure is a 7.3L so ( so I had a brain fart, it would have been cool if it had worked you have to admit)

It would probably be best if you ship it to me.
( My wife dosen't like it when I stay late at the shop and she has been know to fly in on her broom stick when im late getting home)
It should only cost like $35 for shipping and I can do it the day it arrives and send it back to you the next day over night for free unless you want the combustion chambers raised or polished.
I can match port the intake and exaust for $210 but if you want the combustion chambers raised figure an extra $140.
