Help!

I recently bought the 2010 lancer GTS. I have not added or removed any parts. I need help in finding out if I can used parts from the EVO X or even buy parts that go to the EVO X and use it on my car. I have heard you can but if someone already has done it or knows you can. Please help me out.

This is a very vague question.

Read through the forums and I guarantee that the information that you are looking for will be found. When you have specific questions, search FIRST then ask if you can't find the answer yourself.

Most of the suspension, engine, etc.. parts from the EVO won't fit in a base lancer. But the Ralliart has a lots of suspension components in common with the Base Lancer, so you may look into that.

Turbo, intake, etc... are all incompatible with the base lancer unless you are willing to put a lot of time and money.

What are you willing to do exactly?

Most of the turbo components fit the base lancers just fine.

What components are you talking about? First, the exhaust manifold probably won't fit the 2.4L engine head.
If you've got the 2.0L engine, you exhaust would probably require some modification to connect to the down-pipe.

And anyway, it would probably be cheaper and much more intelligent to get an engine, turbo, ECU, etc... From a wrecked GSR. And check on the Private for sale EXO X section for the part that were damaged in the wreck rather than trying to fit an EVO X on your engine, your compression ratio is higher and does not accomodate the boost pressure that the X turbo would provide (that means, X turbo is overkill for you engine unless you expect to go at something like 9K RPM...)

I know for a fact the exhaust manifold fits the 2.4l. Yes, the downpipe needs to be modified or you need a custom one.

CVT is fine. The problem is excessive heat operation.

Rules of engagement on this one are simple

1. No D mode operation, the CVT operates just fine even beyond the recommend limit. you run into issues if you use the car in D mode and have the gears dynamically shifting. dynamic operation and excessive loads are not good and generate heat. operating in manual mode on the CVT is much easier on the transmission itself can keeps stresses to a minimum .

2. Upgrade fluid. Many operate the CVT without upgrading the fluids AND!!! changing fluids 2x as often. excessive heat will degrade OE fluids faster. but this is the rule with any type of fluid.

i might have the solution to solve excessive heat..
