which intake is better??
which intake is better??
i am looking into buying an intake for my car..but i cant decide whether to get the rmr or the rrm intake... i think the rmr look cooler and seems more reasonable for air induction..but i'm looking to find out which performs better..and i don't want to buy a hood duct. can anyone help me on this??

Useful to look at...I think. The thread had some "issues".

Uh...considering the intake was made for the Lancer and already several people have installed it, I'm pretty sure it will fit...
www.adventon.com has the best price that I've seen.

You would be correct. It requires forceful modification of the piping which I highly doubt helps air flow...it's been crammed into the bay before but you'd be much better off picking up the RMR, RRM, or Buschur intakes.

It will fit with as I put it "forceful modifications". The people that I've heard that's done it had to bend the piping to make clearances which, as I said, IS NOT GOOD since you're disturbing air flow, and then another person shoved the intake in a but had it scratched to isht...the choice is yours. Why not get something like the Buschur intake which is not only dyno proven but inexpensive and looks pretty good.
as far as i have heard, AEM is just for 5-speed, to answer the question of the thread....manny tranny Injen CAI(199.95) is the best IMO, RRM's short ram(149.95 i think) for the autos
I thought AEM had said that they weren't put out anything for the Lancer... btw, where can you find the Buschar racing intake? I'm thinking about getting an automatic for my wife, and I kinda wanna see it.
There's a pic of the intake here. You have to call them to order. Their number's on their site.
And uh...I wanna make a sticky that says "it's BUSCHUR, people... BUSCHUR"
j/k.

i would pick the bushur intake, seeing that it is proven and being quite inexpensive, unless RRM or RMR can shows a dyno graph with higher HP gain. Until then...i'm stickin' with bushur. Another thing I like about the buschur intake is that you can see the filter, i think it gives the engine bay a better look than the Injen CAI.
