Don't have Jiffy Lube flush your coolant, if the head gasket is indeed bad, there's a good chance it might not be able to handle the pressure the Jiffy Lube flush machine generates. (Over 20 psi)

If I were you, try taking out the thermostat and running the car without it. Might take longer for the car to heat up, but if it overheats, it's something beyond the thermostat.
(I'm not saying drive the car daily without the thermostat, but it's a good test to perform)

Killer suggestion, I hadn't ever thought to do that. Good call, something for me to keep in mind for the future as well.

Have you tried changing the radiator cap yet? My dodge dakota did the same thing but I knew it wasn't the radiator or thermostate because I had less than 500 miles on it it turned out the cap wasn't holding pressure.

i just said screw it and yanked the head off had it rebuilt and changed the head gasket. it seems to be doin great now!!! it fried my o2 sensor but hell if thats the only thing i got wrong now im happy. if anyone has any overheating problems wit these cars before spending money on anything just replace the head gasket,it will save time and headaches.if i can do this job then anyone can its not that hard just the timing belt sucks. if u have any questions about the head gasket change holla at me.

Just curious, did you leave the manifolds attached when you pulled the head?
