2006 EVO IX overheating.

Hey everyone i have a 2006 evo ix with an ams 35r kit. Car has 35k on it. Im having a issue with overheating. Car will slowly creep up to High on the gauge. I throw the heat on and it slowly goes back to normal. Im thinking its the radiator cap maybe thermostat. Anybody have this issue and if so what did you do?

Fresh coolant? Drain & fill unless its really dirty, then get it flushed. If the cap was your problem you'd be pushing coolant into the overflow tank and losing it all over the ground.

Changing the rad cap is a good first step..see if its full/top it off and go from there.
