so i go to change my oil today and realize the guy who i bout my car from had been running royal purple in it. full synthetic, too expensive for me to afford putting it back in. i am going to put in a synthetic blend. should this effect my motor performance at all. i know royal purple is better for the motor but changing from full synthetic to the blend is my question.

 

no, its a myth. Switching back from synthetic will not cause any adverse effects

 

Yep, just completely drain out the old oil and switch to the blend. Should be no problem.
