ok guys, so this just happened to me, i was going to my house when suddenly a red light came across on my way. so i hitted the brakes and my clutch pedal at the same time (regular way, lol) in order to avoid those expensive tickets
anyways when i pressed the clutch pedal i felt some kind of a "click" in my foot, and when i tried to go back to 1st gear i could not do it, so the yes the clutch went out.
when i finally made it to my house with help of a friend, i checked behind the car and spotted an oil leak, looks like the oil is coming between the engine and transmission, so i assume that the rear main seal its also blown.

do you guys think that the engine oil from the leak messed up my clutch???

 

does sound like the rear seal and yes it will cause you to slip but not go completely out.

 

Are you sure it's not clutch fluid? 02-03 have internal slave cylinder, 04+ are external.

 

yea guess the only way to tell that is checkin all the fluids to see which one is losing fluid

 

well i left the car with my mech to drop the trans and see whats wrong with the clutch, im pretty sure its engine oil because of the color and smell, also when i checked the level i was short 2qts.
just in case i already order the main seal a new clutch and the friction kit for the flywheel since i have a fidanza
