Exclamation Idle issue

Hello. I have a 2005 Lancer OZ. It starts reving up after iv been driving it for about 20 minutes or quicker if I have to stop alot or have been sitting in one place. It will not stop unless i have been driving a long distance. It really sucks if i get stuck in traffic... Its horrible. I really do not want to take it to a shop and get charged out the *** for something that could easily be done by myself. Any ideas? Thank you!

The way you explained it is kind of vague and hard to understand. Do you have a video you could post? Could be a couple things from what I made out.

First check for vaccum leaks ( make sure all hoses are connected )

Could be your IAC Sensor ( Idle Air Control ).
