Hi EvoM,
I saw this thread and thought it'd be better to bump it rather than starting a new thread.
My 2002 Lancer OZ Rally engine's been quite unreliable for a while. My family mechanic suggests replacing it with a newer, gently used motor. I believe that's the direction I'd like to go. However, I'm having the hardest time finding a replacement engine. Cost isn't too much of an issue, as with shipping and stuff. I was hoping that you guys, being the Lancer savy-folk that you all are, could point me in the direction of a gently used 02 Lancer Rally engine. I'm from the northwest, but I can ship the motor out to my mechanic. Please feel free to reply or PM me. I'll try to check back as frequently as possible. Thank you and I really appreciate it!

You can find them at a junk yard. That would be the least expensive bet. Also go to http://www.cAr-part.com/cgi-bin/sear...y=&userPage=30
I'm seeing them for about $200. Good luck

Hey, thanks for the quick response. I checked the site and that's definitely a reasonable price. I even see motors from my area, up a bit north. Just wondering though, the acronyms like ATOD, I'm guessing that's "at the time of disaster"? This will be my first time buying a motor online, and I'm wondering what I should look out for/steer clear of in terms of engine/website reliability.
