Just my .02

Hey Guys I know I'm a newbie an all, but I fabricated my own CAI.
I ordered a MAF Adap off of DriverFX.com,then I took a trip to Pep Boys, Home Depot, and a Local shop near by. After figuring out the layout of the piping and the area to place the filter it all came together rather quick... I used some stainless steel piping ( I know not the best idea) then i wrapped it in some Thermo wrap n pieced it all together with some hose clamps n some plastic rubbery adapter things (I.E Home Depot stuffs) As for the filter a Yellow APC filter from Pep Boys.. I ran the air filter right into the splash wall on the driver sidebythe fender well it was rather easy just removed a lil piece of the splash quard n place the filter n piping inside then i went n drilled holes into the small mesh guard on the drivers side so that the air could just rush right to the filter,as for how well this contraption works hehe I have no clue but i have recentlly went down to the track out here and I've ran 17.0 in the 1/4 and a .521 R/T not that this means anything Just fiqured I'd add my .02 on thissince people are speaking of fabricating their own stuffs. I planto re do it in PVC Piping... I'll try n post pics soon I need batteries for the Digi cam if anyone does want to see time slips just ask an I'll scan an post them.

Hmm, well after reading through that i dunno i like the idea of switching it over to 4 inch pvc piping n keeping it cai I'm not big on the short ram for some reason i like cold air n prolly upgrading to a better air filter.. I want to also get my cat back in the next few weeks as well dunnoif i should go with VRS or Buschur

don't forget RRM and RMR exhausts. both can be fitted with a RRM high flow cat piece. For track days only though
