No no no... that's the OTHER performance shop in my area... the one I went to was this really shady looking muffler shop. These guys are South Africans, and they sound a little like the Pikeys off of ******... and one of them is CONSTANTLY wearing a cowboy hat... but, they're cool as hell.

As for the ones with the three civics... that's the shop that all they have is steering wheels... and... you guessed it... NOS!

"That sticker over there says you carry Injen..."
"In-what?"
"Do you have anything, perchance, for the Lancer?"
"We could hook it up with NOS...."
"Maybe some custom headers...?"
"N-OOOO-S?"
"Do you own anything other than NOS?"
*whispered*"...nos...?"

It's actually fun for a laugh.

Yeah, the place I go to is ghetto as hell and run by kids...actually I think one of the mechanics was arrested on the job for stealing out of somebody's car...but they did an awesome job on by car, no complaints, nothing stolen, that I know of...Most of the nicer shops around here are more for big-block domestic type stuff, and they tend to talk down to you a little if you bring them an import

I felt kind of bad for the guy...

It was funny, I wish I had a camera for when I asked him about Injen. He was like, "like a engine?" I said, "No, I-N-J-E-N." He looked at me as if I just asked him how EXACTLY the length of the stroke was on the McClaren F1. I thought he was gonna have an aneurism.

Well, I have shops in my area... good shops, though... that, I lack.

The Muffler guys are good... once I get the header, they've said they'll install it for $20.

But, the only slightly decent shop is this one place that I won't name, and they're alright. Ocassionally there is a beast in their parking lot.. last time I was there, there was a TT Supra with ALOT of work, and the owner had the decency to keep it a nice color (black), kept the GT wings away, and then somehow staved off the vinyl monster so it wouldn't puke on his car. Also, there was a nicely set up Tiburon with a carbon hood and lots of neat-o mods on it. But, then again, it also had a del sol that had done away with all the honda badging and replaced it with Mercedes-Benz badging for the SLK plus an AMG badge... Anyway, they're planning a OZ turbo, but, they're gonna try to run 15-17 psi WITHOUT doing any reinforcement. I've been debating about telling them, simply because I want to see if it'll work or not.

muffler knockoffs

Keep in mind those Apexi style mufflers and others on ebay for a cheap price are jsut knockoffs of an original style. Not manufacutred by Apexi or 5zigen unless it says. Beware of knockoffs...

People would try to sell you knock offs? Noo....

Serious, though, it has the APEXi on it, and had APEXi packaging.

You got a good point, though. It's not hard to get ahold of a piece of crap that someone has told you is an APEXi, or a 5zigen, or a DC Sports, or whatever. Long as you do your homework, and know the people you work with...

Like I said, I was under the car with them pretty much the whole time, just making sure. I trust them, but, trust has a whole different meaning when it comes to my ride.
