Radiator + Thermostat options

Well my radiator finally gave out and it is time for a new one. Never had to buy one before and have no clue where to look.

I have seen Koyo, Silla and CSF type radiators online for decent prices (all under $150). The mishimoto is out of my spending range @ $270.

Also need a new thermostat, should I grab an aftermarket one (like gates or mishimoto) or go to mitsu and grab a OEM one?

i would go with an aftermarket thermo, as for the rad have you checked the used section?

i got a mishimoto and love it, one done fall is it really thick!

depends on what your doing with the car. if its just DD and spirted driving around town a KOYO OEM re placement if perfect and low cost.

I bought an ebay radiator all aluminum evo 5 style I believe it was around $160 much better than stock. Been running it for quite awhile now works awesome and way thicker core too. As far as the thermo goes I always just go with the aftermarket fail safe style (locks open if it fails instead of closed where you can do some serious overheating)

I have a megan but would probably recommend something else. Definitely look into a aftermarket thermostat. During the summer time my lancers temps go up when its just left idling for a while . I might put a colder thermostat in when I start installing my turbo. If you go aftermarket you might want to decide wether you want a pusher or puller set up (depending on what your going to do performance wise).
