SRI For 2003 Lancer Es?

I see there isn't very much I can do to my car because it's not an evo. I do not want the car to have a crazy outside, because I don't believe that it's worth it, and because I love the look of stock cars but they are crazy under the hood.

First question, Injen sells a Short Ram Intake with a heat shield, K&N sells the Typhoon series, which should I get? Is heat that big of a problem? I live in upstate new york, so CAI is out of the question.

Also, about how much for a full cat back exhaust? Do I have to update anything under the hood as well? Exhaust and headers I would most likely do together after I get tax money back.

Doesn't matter which intake you go with, they all make the same power which is basically nothing. They do make a cool noise though. Exhaust boils down to what kind of look and sound you like.

I like the stock sound of the exhaust although a little louder would be nice, but the same tone. Nothing like a fart or sounds like a ricey car.

I have the RMR intake on my car. I don't know about gains as I didn't dyno it stock but it's a bib peppier with it, and the intake noise is pretty sweet.
