You trying to shove that thing into an auto?

If it's a manny tranny you should be able to weave it right up under the battery an somewhat behind the left headlight.

I tried to get it under the battery but it doesnt sit right, its a manual. I need to remove the splash guard in order to fit the filter in correctly allowing me to connect it to the pipe. I HAVE HALF AN INTAKE SITTING IN MY HOOD!!!

shmoo, dont cut anything, .....the splash guard is that black plastic piece that is underneath and towards the front of the engine. if you look around there are little plastic tabs that hold about two of these plastic pieces together. to get the tabs out, pull the top out and the entire tab piece will come out, then just put the splashguard back on when ur done

I have not installed it (Don't drive manny), nor seen anyone install it but from the people I do know that have installed it did not have to remove the splash guard from what they have told me. So past what I my thoughts were, I can't exactly help you out.

Sorry, good luck with it.
