but yeah the stock 2g pump is good enough for 5-6 psi. intercooler is 100-150 probably and can grant u 2-3 more PSI safely.

just remember u HAVE to be able to feed it fuel...it NEEDS fuel lol. so don't try and skimp out on fuel.

k im done...ive talked to hobie, sdhotwn, kar33m, jvlancer, zlancer a little about turboing...so i feel safe that i can do it they are my heros!

this summer i think im just gonna be getting all the 'fuel' out of the way than next summer ill be able to get off work for a few weeks and visit my bro in Vegas and we can hook it all up.
As for the injectors, I know the Eclipse ones dont work because they are the wrong impedance, but if you get one of the resistor boxes that the Honduh guys use (or you can make a resistor circuit yourself, if you are electrically inclined) and that usually changes the impedance to high enough for our cars. I personally did not skimp on injectors and paid a pretty penny for some RX-7 ones.

Intercooler, I was actually talking about a stock side mount, if you are going ultra cheap, but if anyone is interested, I do have an NPR intercooler, that I want to sell. It flows much better than a Starion and its actually a very nice intercooler, perfect for any ssetup around 250whp or less. Too small for my needs.

If you are el cheapo, for gauges, I would just get a boost gauge and an EGT gauge. That is all that you really NEED for a low boost setup. Of course you would WANT a good air / fuel, and oil pressure etc. but in a 5-6 psi cost effective setup, you can get some used gagues or if yo uare really cheap, you can opt for the garbage Autometer boost and EGT gauges.

Cheapest and most effecient way....buy a turbo kit for more power. Want some quicker times in the quarter..start basic....by some better tires and practice launching/shifting. Horsepower and torque usually dont come cheap..especially when you are dealing with a car that kicks out 120bhp and was never meant to be fast. Everyone is always gonna have their own solution as to what is gonna get you some good gains. Just dont go around falling to the "I added an intake and man does she fly now after that 10hp increase" syndrome. All parts work in unison and need to be tuned WITH other supporting mods to get their full potential.

throw on a piggyback (a REAL one not the RRM one which is more like a chip than a piggyback, it's not user tuneable)... something like MPI piggyback, or an AEM piggy (I think they make one) or SAFC (which is a piggyback fuel computer) etc. Then what you need as well is the ability to adjust timing. Stock cars are very conservative. So what you do then with a piggyback is richen up the fuel mixture to somewhere around 12.5 - 13 and then advance the timing to just shy of any hint of detonation and you are more or less all tuned up. And you DON"T do it on a dyno as you'll get crap results.

EDIT: Note that I oversimplified it, but that is the jist. You have to keep in mind special things for different rpm ranges and load and temperature conditions.

I actually wrote a HUGE thread that is sticky that shows you a lab trial that I did with timing and fuel adjustments and breaks it all down very nice and easy for you to understand. It seems super long, but is actually a reasonably short read. Find it at :
