Some white smoke
Some white smoke
So I have a turboed lancer and a external wastegate. I was driving home one day and my wastegate rattled loose
I had to drive for about 2 hours with no wastegate till I was able to fix it. I figured it was just like driving NA, and didn't worry about it too much. I was able to fix it, but now I see white smoke sometimes it's really only when I'm coming to a stop and never when im just driving. My afrs are messed up now too their fine when im just cruising but when I step on it, it gets lean, when it should be around 11 or 12 it's around 15. I just can't figure it out. Any ideas would be really help full. Thanks

yeah, your engine will probably blow up if you keep doing that...how much boost are you running, what are you using for tuning, and are you datalogging? also how is your fuel system setup(pump, injectors, type)? are you using a maf? is it original?
pull your plugs, and inspect them. white smoke could be a leaking head gasket, not sure what that will do to your AFR. lean at idle is normally an exhaust leak, before the sensor, and should be ok, even under boost, because you shouldn't really be in closed loop at that point so an exhaust leak should not affect AFR like that...so I would also look at the fuel pump as a potential point of failure...beware the broken studs.
