Hey guys, I have a idler pulley going to hell on my 2011 lancer es, automatic (cvt not sure if that matters). It's the big grooved steel one on the very top of the motor directly above the alternator. I called the closest Mitsubishi dealer which is a hour and a half away and they gave me the wrong part number. The number given was 1341A005 which is for the lower smooth black plastic idler. I've searched and searched and I can not find this pulley anywhere, being as bad as the pulley is I don't want to drive the hour and a half to have them tell me they don't have it and have to go back. So I guess what I'm getting at is does anyone have a parts number for the pulley I need? Thanks in advance.

 

Check to see if the idler pulley (and belt if worn) recall applies to you.

 

your car has a recall for that defect lead the dealer

 

Hey, I had changed out my pulley's/belt about 30k(km) ago and didn't know that this was a factory recall (all OEM stuff was put back in, I also didn't know when I did it that you could swap in the better Genesis parts).


I can hear it start to squeal again already sometimes..I have like 5k(km) left on my 160,000km warranty and of course my listed mods..


Think I have a shot at the recall still? lol, just askin...
