ok.. yesterday i was driving back from mystic on the Merritt trying to avoid the I95 Bridgeport traffic, and of course there was crazy traffic on the Merrit as well. So for about an hour i was stop-go-stop-go.. and after about a half hour of this, my idle starting doing weird things, when the car was completely stopped and out of gear, the car would sit at 1500rpm, then every now and then it would drop to 1k and go right back up to 1500, then jump up to 2k, then down to 1500, then back to 2k, and it continued doing this the entire time i was in traffic. At no point did it drop down past 1k. It was really weird and scaring me! Thought my baby was sick!! It seems fine now, idle's at aprox 700, which is normal. Anyone seen this before? Why would it do this?

BTW: the AC was off.

yea that happened to my car the other day. the idle would sit at 2k then drop to 1.5k, but then after a little driving around it was fine. went back down to 700.

 

yeah, mine went back and seems fine now.. just wondering if anyone had a clue as to why it does that?

 

Sounds like your ISC motor went bad. Did not really hear about it being a problem on the 4G93s but dont know about the 94s....
