High Idle (with vid)

Heres the problem: my idle bounces between 2000-2300 rpm. Heres some quick history: I dropped my car off in July to be shipped back to the US from Guam and it was running just fine. I've never had a problem idling (with 272 cams). Picked it up on Thursday in Baltimore, and now it idles high.

Additionally, it only does this at a stop or less than about 20mph. If I coast to a stop, it does the same thing around 1300 to 1500 rpm, and jumps up when I stop.

No abnormal knocks or ticks that I can find; the car runs like it should otherwise. On a cold start, it will idle @ 1200-1500 like it normally does, and instead of dropping to 850ish, it goes up to 2k.

Here's a quick vid (not a cold start). Theres a shot of evoscan on there so you can see whats going on there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q2gfaBvq3o

Tried a few searches and didn't really find my particular problem, but if there is anything out there, links would be appreciated... Thanks!

You have a serious vacuum leak somewhere bro! Do a boost leak test and see where it's coming from. I would bet that is the problem. Also probably some Douche driving didn't help any either.

Thx for the inputs, guys. They only put one mile on the car in 2 months.. So hopefully they werent sitting there reving it to the heavens!

Here's what I did: Checked the vacuum connections to the IAC (tight).. wiggled the connector a tad with the car running, and followed vacuum lines for about 5 minutes (I don't have all my tools yet..). Finally, I actuated the throttle body and shut it real quick.. that seemed to lower the RPMs a little, so i did it a few more times, and now it holds a steady idle @ 1100-1200 rpm. Still a little higher than normal, but I can managewith that till I pull the throttle body off for a good cleaning.

If anything else comes up, i'll let you know. Thanks again!

my car is doing the exact same thing as in the video and before it was doing this it was sputtering when i was at wot....the car has cams but the idle is bouncing from 2k to 3k. I thought it could be spark plugs so I changed them but it didnt fix the problem. Would a vacuum leak cause all this?

I had a idle problem and the rear cam sensor wheel on exhaust was installed 180 deg out of position.

I thought the studdering at high rpm was the plugs but then when the car idled the rpms were bouncing up and down.... one of the o rings on the injectors slid up and was leaking
