I have a 2003 lancer es, Manual trans which i believe has a 4g94 engine in it, I am looking into swapping it for something that has more power and more modding capabilities down the road. Or some compelling reasons to keep the 4g94 and mod it. And........ Go!

The 4g64 is one of the best options to go with. Everything from the Evo will bolt right up to it. You could use either an Evo head or a kia head to make it DOHC. The only thing you need to do, is a custom passenger side motor mount to make it bolt up. You would also need to get a manual transmission for the 4g64 and put the internals from the manual 4g94 in it. Then you can use your stock axles. You don't even need to swap ECU's out. You can use your stock ecu and just retune the car. But the 4g64 has a lot of aftermarket support and they're not that expensive to pick up.
