ok ive done the alternator belt..... so those of you who needs to replace this belt that pic above will help u out... thanx to rhyzin

Oh, and rhyzin, can you change the water pump without taking off the timing belt?

timing belt is a must. it all has to come off. i edited rhyzin's picture for you so you can see the water pump more easily

no problem when you do the water pump don't pull a stupid move like this kid in my area --> confused the timing belt tensioner with the water pump...i guess that's why he drives an auto civic ex

a little more info

ALSO, when considering and/or changing the belts this is a good thread to read. i know it is about the pulley but i beleive it was pages 13-14 have breif info on signs of a bad belt (if you don't know already). check out post #202 as well. it is good info to have when doing belts

RRM PULLEY INSTALL

EDIT: look at pages 13-14 and post #202 like i stated previously.
