which CAI is better
which CAI is better
Trying to decide which CAI i want, AEM CAI or Injen Race Division CAI.... they both look good under the hood but is there any real difference performance wise between them.......

In case you haven't read Injen has had some problems with their piping mounts cracking (mine included). Since AEM's is damn near identical and doesn't come with a bushing either (that I'm aware of) I'd expect to see the same problems from them in the next few months. Whichever you get, buy a little bushing and put it under the CAI piping mount so that the vibration and pressure on the pipe's mount is lessened. Better safe for an extra few cents than sorry for return shipping.

Injen and AEM CAI are pretty indentical but they mount in different places. AEM mounts under the car right beside the filter. And it is a rubber bushing, for those who didn't know. I have an Injen on my Eclipse, and the AEM on my Lancer, out of the two I like the AEM better.

Yeah...ok...so nobody can help me on this one? I made note of the Injens breakin above if you read my previous posts. My point was that they looked like they both bolted down in the same place and were therefore BOTH likely to break. Now I'm hearing they bolt down somewhere else so I'm trying to see/be told where because I'm curious how much different the two intakes really are.
from reading past posts not forsure where it was at ill look and post link but apparently the injen intake does not have bushings and has stress being put on it at the mounting points causing them to snap inturn making a hole in the pipe... while the aem almost identical came with bushings and no one has had a problem yet
Go under your car, take off the black plastic splash guard. There is your filter. Now look to the right(feet in front of car) there is a wall in front of where the piping comes down, there is a hole in it, thats where the rubber bushing screws into. Hope this helps.

I hate to be a pain, but where exactly?
