unless you install a lamda wideband f/a gauge - which are pretty expensive - I wouldn't bother with a f/a gauge. the lamda gauge has a probe in your downpipe or x-over pipe (I'm not sure what it is called in a non forced induction car).

you might think about doing a mechanical water and/or oil temp, or egt - can't go wrong with any of them, espically after you add more performance parts.

but, imo you would be better off saving your pennies for a turbo, wheels, coilovers etc then dropping a lot of cash on gauges.

RX

Nice RX.

Yeah, a wide band lambda is choice but I use a gauge attached to my stock oxygen sensor. It still gives useful if limited information. Not much help for tuning as the switching range is very short but it can identify problems. If you have concerns about running lean, than go ahead and get the gauge.

P.S. The Auto Meter gauge looks very pretty and trick.

i wouldn't think so with the mods done so far. you really can't lean out with just intake & exhaust. if you go forced induction, then it is another matter. you will probably have to worry about a/f then, which can be taken care of with a standalone cpu or ecu upgrade (I'm not familiar with the ecu of the us lancer ). at this point you need to start thinking about water & intake temp, cause turbos cause a lot of heat.
