well say you were running lean, and you tuned it back right to a .92v a/f reading, would that be losing power or gaining it? i think it feels like there's a bit more pull. with the mas screw backed out all the way, the a/f reading at WOT was .83-.85. it's back to about .9-.92. the thing is that if i floor it, there's this metallic smell like something burned. after that, i kinda refrained from flooring it. oh, and also what gear should i tune at? it would seem that WOT at 2nd is okay at .90 and then 3rd is .87 at WOT... which gear should i tune for? okay bye
um i think its 3rd and 4th for tuning...they usually pull dyno runs in 3rd gear so they can get a full power build up. my car smells soooo bad without the cats on. like if you drive behind me you want to kill yuor self. its like having 100 lawn mowers' exhaust blowing on your face.
but the metallic smell...that do you have done to the car. usually new headers will smell weird because of the different type of metal they use and whatever coating on it.

nope, no headers yet. flooring it in 1st gives about a constant .94 until 2nd. then 2nd holds a .92. i don't normally floor it in 1st or 2nd all the way but my friend took me to this windy road and i kinda had to floor it after every turn cuz he has a 2nd gen rx-7 turbo II. bastard. i guess as long as i don't floor it all will be well...
oh yeah. with the mixture screw in the MAS backed all the way out, my hi-throttle settings are at least about +8 across the board to get .92v in second gear. guess i'm gonna have to retune in 3rd...
