Here is some info on how to do a Timing Belt change on a 2G DSM NT. It's a 4G63 motor, but it might help you in the right direction.

http://www.vfaq.com/mods/timingbelt-2G-NT.html

Please, please don't do it word for word from this document

DANG!!! I thought I was the only one with mucho miles on their Lancer.....I have 80k miles. My question is, where do we go for normal maintenance parts (other than dealerships)? I know when I had to replace my brakes a while back, I had to go to the dealer. A couple of months later they hit the aftermarket shelf. Need to replace fuel filter, should do timing belt (won't do that without a manual to refer to though), and any other normal maintenance items other than oil and oil filter.

I have had to get (parts not on the shelf) a couple of times. I just have the dudes at autozone\pepboys special order the stuff, u have to pay up front but it is alot cheaper than the dealer. Speaking of which i have rear shoes on order now. (wish I could afford the 4 wheel disk conversion) O well. Not sure about copyright laws or if anyone cares, but if anyone has a haynes \ chiltons, etc book for our lancers It would be helpful for everyone if It could be scanned and posted on here for reschearch.

Don't think Haynes or Chilton have Lancer manuals yet. Although I'll check AllData next time I get a chance.

just go on ebay and find service manuals on CD. the one in pdf format is probably the best while the ESM on in html format sucks *** in comparison. maybe costs $20 w/ shipping for the CD in comparison to the $100+ to get them in book format from the dealer.

Yeah, don't think there is a print version by Hayne's or Chilton's yet. Have done a timing belt before, just not on a Lancer. Wouldn't want to attempt it without a manual anyway.

Manual on CD? e-Bay? Reliable souce?

i've actually bought 2 CDs off ebay. one for the es/ls/oz, and one for the ralliart. both came through fine. i just don't like ESM manuals as they're based on an html format. the pdf format ones are best. the ralliart one i got came as an ESM manual and i hate using it, but sometimes i have to get info.
