It's not an issue of waiting, Nero, but of fund availability. Now, if I had 35K whenever I went in and bought my Lancer... well, I wouldn't have bought it. I'd more than likely be riding in an IS300 or S2000 or something.

You simply can't compare the economy car that has sporty looks and an old name with a SuperCar. It's like saying "God I wish I had waited for an NSX instead of buying my Accord."

Actually it was only the issue of waiting for me. i could have waited for the evo But as inpatient as i am i thought "LANCER"!!! wow i want one...so off i was. i should have waited, but i didnt.
and now im gonna pay the price. whenever i do see a new evo on the road im just gonna bow down, or moon em (depends if i am driving). because thats all that i can do.

appreciate a car for it being there for you... not by its performance... what good is a super fast super handling car if it breaks cuz of the way u drive or by crashing it... i like my slo.z slow so i can just cruise around and look nice...

i do agree point A to point B is big time... however why not have a car that will do that and do it fast while all the time looking tight?
Solution: The mitsu dealers trade us oz's for evo's even swap!
then i will quit *****ing.
until then

Riiiiight. And that'll be the same day people trade in Justies for WRX's. In the words of comic book guy from the simpsons:

"Net profit to me, negative 10,000 dollars."
"As you are not familiar with sarcasm I will now close the register at this time."

even with a straight swap, I still couldn't afford to drive an Evo. They'd have to pay half my insurance too. I know exactly why I bought my econo-box, and I also know why the kid in me made me get the OZ package

Where do you get that figure? That don't seem right. With those numbers, a stock lancer can edge out a stock 3g eclipse, beat a modern 'stang v6 and the modern 'maro v6 at about 200 HP (both with auto). Unless, all cars were run over 30 times.

No way on stock tires will able to hold grip within the first 60 feet.

Sometimes, some sites post figures that seem too good to be true.

I have personally witnessed a modern 'stang v6 running a constant 17.4's while the modern 'maro V6 was running 17.1's in auto trim. They didn't have exhaust but may have intake. This was a drag event in bracket racing.

That seems really really really slow... I mean, call me crazy, but, that's about what I'd seen posted as far as 1/4 times go. But, Stangs and Camaro's going only that fast? Doesn't seem right.
