My point EXACTLY. I had some problems with people in the Kill Forums that totally slammed anyone based on information from magazines or just basically public perception (granted, the "I killed a Supra" ones were completely bogus). For instance, I caught alot of flack for saying that I killed an 88 300ZX with a rebuilt N/A V6 (putting out about 170 hp) with a new clutch/tranny. It happened, and isn't likely to happen except for the fact that my shift technique/skill that night was flawless, and his sucked. In other words, it's alot like football, in that on any given day, someone can show up, and someone won't, despite skill, or speed, or power, an upset can always occur.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Don't always believe the numbers. Don't take horsepower or torque ratings as fact. Get in your car, go to the TRACK (no street racing, please), and find out what you can do. Don't lay back and take someone else's word for what YOUR car and YOU can do.

 

you gotta remember just like us mag writers have tastes. some are nissan guys some are honda guys so if they have to write up a review on a car that is in competition with thier beloved civics there is gonna be some bias leaking in

oh yeah and chix dig it. i know i do.

i think everyone wants that big bad beast car. hell i want a skyline and rx-8 an evo 7 a TT supra a aston martin vanquish. but we are all not P-Diddy or the cash money millionaires so we buy what we can and we get toys and posters of the cars we cant, hell thats what Gran Tourismo is for guys.
