how to beat emmisons
how to beat emmisons
Ok recently I have seen alot of post on emmisons test and how to pass ect. and i have a simmple forumla how to never get tested for emisions at least in mass. we have a safety check every year they dont look for cats or anything just make sure you lights and breaks work ect. Every other year they also check emisions so this is what i do or did with my old car.
on the year of a visual check get my inspection sticker in december then go then go the next year where they do the emisons check without getting inspected jan 1st they day my sticker is up i get reinspected no emisons because of the new year now just get the car reinspected that decmber then the cycle starts all over
this works in my state and its actually compleatly legal it may work in other states with simlar laws.

but here in Cali they are strict...damn the smog
well the good thing is that we dont have to slap some ugly sticker on our bumpers...so at least its one thing for us

AWD cars are nice, because they can't put them on a dyno. All they can do is the two speed idle test (about 800 and 2200 rpm).
Without the turbo spooling up, the car is no different from any other 4 cyl and passes easily.

Because, cerfur, our states are controlled by eco-**** super-liberals. The same people who took convertables away in the 70s are doing more and more to try and kill the internal combustion engine. If you look through Al Gore's book he came out with about 10 years ago, he has two chapters on the evil of internal-combustion.
And all those souped-up golf carts you see around these days? Laws were made in 2000 or so that said all car companies had to have at least 1 0-emissions vehicle in their line, so GM and Ford and all of them started building expensive road-legal golf carts becuase electric vehicles just aren't profitable.
That's my 2 cents on this emission crap

in NJ you have to get inspected every 2 years, and they do the full inspection, emissions included. however if you are afraid of failing you can always just bring it to a local garage that inspects and slip the guy some change. he'll pass it for you no prob.

In bout a year they will be restarting them though. They stopped doing the emissions test bout a year ago.
