Test Lancer Needed - Madison, WI
Test Lancer Needed - Madison, WI
Hello,
I'm still trying to develop a number of components for the 2.0L NA Lancer's at this time. It would be greatly helpful to have access to a vehicle that would be interested in getting parts super cheap (at or just above cost) or free in return for giving me access to their car and being able to fit parts and write installation manuals based off that work. If you are interested post or PM me and let me know. I'll work out getting in contact with you from there.
Thanks guys,
Steve

yes it could go in a regional section but will get barely any views... I know Andrew will pull it after a short while, so although it is more work for him, it gets the job done... but to make it more "Lancer General" we will be working on or have some of the following:
AEM Parts - coming
Autometer Parts - coming
Custom Gauge Panels - have
Intake Manifold and Throttle Body Spacers - Coming Shortly
Ported Intake Manifolds - Can Do
Poted TB's - Can Do
Chroming - Can Do
Powder Coating - Can Do
Strut braces - Coming
CP Forged Pistons, Any Compression - Can Do
And plenty of others...
But I am wondering what major areas you guys see as a shortage, and that's part of what I'll talk over with any member who becomes a test car for me. And then once we have everything together we'll pay the ridiculous (read twice as much as anybody else) advertising fee an hope that enough business drums up that we don't go in the hole for all our efforts...
But if it is a big issue for posting not in the regional... then I apologize... but I know from when I use to be on here ALL the time, I NEVER went near the regional forums. So...
Have a good one,
Steve

Maybe someday
We found out the hard way that we have to try and have a massive and profitable product line to be able to make it onto these forums as a vendor. So I can't sell anything, but I need to get a line developed so we can expand. It sucks that they make it hard to get on here... but I'm sure they have a reason. It'd be great for us if the test car can generate some buzz so that we'll have ready sales when we get on here... but first things first we have to find a car that we can check fit and installations against... i used to have one... but I sold it last year, and obviously don't have a way to check it now.
I know there are Madison guys on here.. or surrounding areas... so somebody hopefully will see this at some poitn and help us out! It'll be good for everyone involved

What about a turbo kit? Could really use another option besides RRM and RPW. I know there is the TSI kit but I don't really trust it and RRM and RPW are kind of expensive. Do you do forced induction?
We don't... yet... Turbos are like breathing for me now... so I'd love to do it.. simple stuff
. But the header and some of the fab stuff is where we'd get hung up.... as we don't have those facilities yet.. but we could figure out something... It's not too terribly hard to actually do.

I'm going to be visiting friends in Fon du Lac in January. I'll be all over WI for at least a week and a half. We usually take my friend's cars around and up to the UP so if you still need a lancer then you can work on mine. I'll shoot you an email around the end of the month to see if you still need a car.

Sounds good... I'll keep that in mind!

Holes in the market:
Lightweight pulleys - no one makes 'em, no one is interested in trying. But many people request them. Get some stock pulleys and get them fabbed out of aluminum. You'd make some $$$.
SS brake and clutch lines - yet again, there's demand, but no supply.
Turbo manifolds - even the companies that make turbos don't sell them.

Turbo Mani's is an interesting thing... I do have a way to get those to you guys, but I wouldn't be the company doing them. So I'll keep it mind though and see...
Lightweight pulley's I could do quite easily. Tell me what pulley's you want, and organize a group buy so I know the expenditure will be met and I can punch those out pretty easily. Have access to more than enough machining capability to make that happen.
NSN Turbo Kit... maybe.. but not for a year or two.
