dude - i use cruise control like its a bad habit. i use cruise control sooo much its not even funny. i hate peddal lol..........im thinking i may need new spark plugs tho. at idle, sometimes when my stereo is on, defroster, and headlights the idle is really low......I think i may nopt be burning too well. Im going to try new plugs. im due for an oil change in about 1000 miles, so i'll do that too.
Do you guys think having wider and better tires than stock (direcitonal) tires will affect it alot? It seems like my car slows down ALOT in nuetral when im just coasting.
I also need to look at my brakes. Something is wrongwith my caliper. I get a funky ticking noise when i brake at like 1/3 peddal. There are no grooves tho. Im thinking one of my pads may be off line, and rubbing or something, and that may be causeing some drag........im jsut thinking out loud tho now.

im getting magnalfow cat back installed RIGHT NOW....so i get to go pick the car up after work. I'm thinking this will probably NOT help the mpg very much
I have a magnaflow catback and injen intake. I get very good gas milage. I'm also pretty heavy on the pedal. In the city I shift mostly around 4k but if I'm in a hurry I shift around 5k up. =D I live at sea level in michigan. I usually get gas at speedway with 87 octane when my gas light comes on (exactly 10gal fills it for me when the light first comes on). At this point I have already driven about 320 miles. So, that would be around 32mpg. If I drive the highway every day and minimally drive in the city I can go about 420 miles before my gas light comes on. (42mpg) On the freeway I set my cruise at 75mph which is about 3300rpms in 5th gear. I am due for an oil change right now, so I am only getting around 24city/33highway. It is snowing very hard and its icy.. I think I'll just take it into the dealership and get my oil changed so I don't have to shovel my driveway to change the oil.
I say quit being pansies and throw it in 4th at 95, get your sweet 12 miles to the gallon and probably lose to another slow car...nah I'm just messin, I drive like a ***** on the highway...65 is great for 300+ miles
best mileage for me seems to be at 3500rpms and below cause at 3500 the power form my intake and exhuast starts to really kick in. and yes you can get the same mileage with an auto you just have to watch your rpms and ease off the gas so the car with shift up at the right time
