Converting to OZ rims

Yes I know ES's can't take the nice OZ rims but I was wondering what you'd have to do to get them. Since both cars can use the tein coilover kits, I'd think it was just something small that can't be too much to replace. I've looked around and seems like the stock OZ rims are good choice for a lightweight rim, and people are always trying to get rid of em for cheap. Maybe it'd be cheaper to just do the conversion and get the rims rather than get some new lightweight 15" rims. Anybody got any thoughts on this?

you would have to change to the OZ hubs. I would guess that the spindles are the same.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, just a matter of getting the OZ hubs. Can't a lot of people being willing to part with their hubs. Wonder how much they'd cost through the dealer.....

step one - drive to my house
step two - trade hubs with me
step three - enjoy new OZs while I enjoy all those cheap 4x100 rims available!

Yeah thats the main problem, gotta find either a real dummy or a really nice guy with dual-pattern rims. Like trying to get a guy to trade his steak for my 99 cent burger.

it'd be cheaper to buy OZ Racing Rims... not the factory ones... the OZ rims are Expensive... ( Set of 15" OZ rims and tyres from factory is like 1250 ) not 100 percent sure....

and 17" rims from OZ are like 950. get some noice rubbers for 300... then ur set.

Yeah I sure as hell wouldn't buy em from the factory. I don't wanna go as large a 17", wanna keep the rims more function oriented rather than bling. I can't really afford OZ rims new, remember theres the conversion. Someone on here is selling a set of 17" for 2000$ CAD, just too expensive for my tastes. Can anyone recommend some nice light 15" rims?

Rota makes even lighter rims for less money than it would cost to change out hubs and buy even a used set of OZs. $400 for a set that weigh 12 pounds and all of their styles come in the 4x100 bolt pattern. I had the opposite problem, I could only get 2 designs in the 4x114. You should feel lucky to not be limited in rim choice.

I'm thinking either the grids or the slipstreams for my car....just not sure about colour. Thinking maybe bronze, gunmetal or the steel grey for a thunder grey lancer. Whats your guys say on this?

gunmetal would be way better than bronze, i think bronze on thunder grey would clash way too much

I got the slipstreams in flat black. Ugly as sh*t but the only thing they had available in my size and bolt pattern. Since you have the 4x100 bolt pattern, you get a choice, but I personally wouldn't choose the slipstream.
