Suspention:

Front Strut Bar
Rear Sway Bar
Lower Tie Bar
Springs---------->Road Race Progress Springs (ES Edition) or Tein Springs

Drivetrain:

Why only RRM? there are other vendors with just as good quality

I would suggest the full set of suspension bars from PDXRalliart (RD Designs). He has them on sale right now:

Suspension:
Sway first.
Springs 2nd
Strut bar(s) 3rd
Tie bar last

Drivetrain:
Header 1st
TB 2nd
IM 3rd

Also - an exhaust would be wise while you're doing all this. And I have some pistons you can buy!

He has an exhaust already according to his sig. If you're just trying to put a cheap suspension on your car that sounds fine. If you are really aiming for a car that very well, expect to scrap those plans and buy dampers.

frankly, you can get all of that stuff from NOT RRM.

example: rpw or kamikaze headers w/ downpipes (rrm doesn't include a downpipe)
rpw bored TB and IM
engineerboy bored IM (half the price or more probably)

progress sway bar (rrm sells them, but marks up the price)
pdx strut bars (cheaper and generally higher quality, better fitment than rrm)
springs you can buy anywhere, try ptuning.com

the point is, just cause rrm has it does not make it the best and that doesn't mean its the only place to buy it

as for your question, the stock suspension is pretty good (not great but decent) so i'd do some performance gains: intake (intake, IM, TB) then header.

I edited that. It could be from any vendor. I'm not sure what direction to go in, plus which product to start with.

ahh, ok, I would suggest starting with suspension mods, strut bars, tie bar, coilovers if you can save the money or wait a while, then go on to engine stuff

Wait on engine? Why's that?

Just curious!!!

Also with suspension...

Do I need to get all 4 items: Strut bar, Tie Bar, Sway Bar, and that RS Style Trunk Bar? or is just a Strut and Sway Bar good?

waiting on engine is my personal opinion, I just don't think the small gains we get for the money are worth it right away, better to learn to drive fast than just have a fast car.

with each of the suspension pieces you'll see improvement. I suggested the RD Designs set of 4 because it is still on sale at an awesome price right now

Do I really need all 4 or is the Strut and Sway bar good enough? Or just get all 4 at once?

I'm just trying to figure out what the best thing to do.

twardOZRally,

Thanks bro for your help. I PMed and emailed Rob about the suspension kit. I may just order that. If I do...what color would look better with Thunder Grey(my car) Black or Blue? Just wondering.

Also....I live in an apartment and I don't really have the room and tools to install the bars. Where can I go to get them installed? Who can do it?

Thanks

the bars are easy easy easy, all you need is a 17mm socket to install. I think Silver would look good w/ the TG

What's the difference between the two? Both go in trunk?...Right? I know where the Rear Strut Brace goes but I thought you had to drill. Not too sure about the EVO RS Style Trunk Bar.

Rear Strut Tower Brace
EVO RS Style Trunk Bar

you won't have to drill, just cut some carpet is all, the trunk bar connects from side-to-side at the very back of the trunk, look under the carpet and you'll see some bolts, it uses those
