Best particular brand of gasoline, if any?
I searched and found that it is best to stay with the recommended octane rating for your Lancer, but what about the brand of gas? I mean like BP or Sunoco, or Shell, etc., etc. Any thoughts on whether one brand makes a difference in how their car runs over another brand?

I personally prefer 76. I just feels like my engine is always running its best when its in my car. Secondly, I rank chevron. This is because I want to run techron in my car to clean it out.

As far as I can tell, here's the answer
Get a tank of each choice. Whatever you like best, stick with.
Some people swear by one brand and will use nothing else, others use brands that everyone laughs at, and we all still get down the road. So it's completely subjective. If I said one brand was good, 8 people would post horror stories about their cars dying with it. If I complain about one, 10 people will love it and use nothing else.
It's all about opinion.

All oil companies share the same pipline. That means that they all have the exact same gas. The only difference between brands is the cleaning additives that they add at the distribution centers. Any major brand will be fine and offer no benifit over its competitors.
