Ebay headlights (the black ones...) (mods please dont smite me)

Ive searched the forums; my freakin head hurts. I was planning on painting my headlights but when i looked at my front driver's side headlight it was cracked. Well i searched for replacement stock ones and they were like 150ish; i see these..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33710 they look good and fitment looks identical; the title is the only thing that scares me.... jdm... any ideas? sorry if this has already been covered. like i said; my head hurts.....thanks alot!

those are "jdm looking". Alot of ebay sellers have been trying to pass these off as the real jdm cedia headlights

Those are the same lights that you can get from www.roadracemotorsports.com

Its the exact same headlight you have just in black. (basically what you would have gotten had you painted you lights black.)

the real cedia headlights have a different look to them. if you search cedia lights on the forums you should be able to find some pics which show the key differences.

Basically if it looks identical to the ones you have, then they arent the true jdm ones. The cedia ones look similiar but you can tell them apart at a quick glance.

Hey, you use ebay-alright. You're not alone. What I though was interesting was this quote "THIS IS A PAIR OF BRAND NEW IN BOX HEADLIGHTS! NEW AND REAR! STREET LEGAL!" What in the world is "rear"? Check this auction for a better deal
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...962673420&rd=1 . I believe they use the term JDM just as a marketing ploy. Email the seller about the issue, if they don't respond with a 100% positive response that it fits don't buy it. Also, save that email-just in case(returns). Good luck.

Glad I could help! I'm always trying to save a buck myself. Two black housed headlights for the price of one OE headlight, interesting huh? Keep us updated.

nah theres nothing wrong with buying stuff off ebay. I've done it myself a bunch of times. But you can get screwed over (its happened to everyone including myself.) So I'd say go for it, but emailing the seller is always a good idea first.

Ask them any questions you can think of, because if you dont and you just assume something. Then you cant argue when you get something you didnt want.
