See, thats cool, you are into functionality, bare bones, essentials, I respect that. Where I am the other end, looks. Big chrome wheels ...DUH... .tails, tint, eyelids, CF trim inside, stereo, tv, etc. I dont care if it makes me slower, and I enjoy the attention and reaction, good and bad, it gets, as well as it lets me enjoy the time I spend in it as much as possible. Especially since I cant go fast! This particular car just isnt going to go fast, unless you put almost half as much as you bought the car for, so why bother. Just make it look like you want and roll with it!

I have done what I want so far, I've got a ralliart grill, and maybe someday a ralliart spoiler, but at the moment I'm working on the engine. Sure its not going to beat any STis, but its still faster than stock, which is all I'm after.

 

By the way, I was just referring to the "Look" of the wheel, not the weight, balance etc. They have the "tuner" look to them that is rice. Perhaps not that company in particuar, but a knock off company that duplicates or imitates the "look" but not necessarily the functionality.

 

I have a feeling I know which company your talking about, but thats why you look around. Sure the wheels look plan, but thats fine, it keeps it simple and clean.

I hate driving this slow car! Since I am close to finishing the outside, I will then turn to the engine and such, if for no other reason than to be able to at least run respectably when a little kid pulls up and revs his engine! Actually I was able to pick up some performance parts from another OZ owner who was trading his car in. So I will have some more "GO" soon. Header, throttle body, cold air intake and hi perf plug wires. It probably wont be alot faster but its Gotta help! I have purposely avoided an exhaust system because I am afraid of the "rice" sound. I dont want to sound like a leaf blower/lawn mower! However I have recently heard a couple Magnaflow exhausts and I like the low rumble. I might go that way.

 

OK guys....its been fun *****in and yellin......and shootin...... ....

and hearin about how my rims are butt ugly......over.......and .....over.....and.......btw what was this thead started about?.....

But I gotta go sleep now......

i dunno jeff, to me your rims are the ones that look plain. they're just flat, period. no nicely curved spokes, no polished lip. you might as well stick a mirror on a hubcap for the same result...
i like rotas. i don't see what's so rice about them. i don't like the ones that are all pink or whatever though. i can argue the same about your rims, since they're all in-your-face bling bling blindingly bright chrome rice rice baby. all these arguements can roll both ways.
and guys, don't get all worked up over it, you won't change his views, he likes his bling this way.

awww man, my wife saw the bear wheels. and of course she LOVES them.(grrrrr) but the jokes on her, won't fit her neon (ROTFLMFAO) she was cussing when i told her they wouldn't fit. damn, 8 pages of "i hate your wheels"? i'm starting to think they're just raggin on you for the fun of it. and staying here and fighting all the haters off for 8 pages,you got more patience than me bro.
