HELP! super glue on bumper.......

omg today i realized that my DIY mesh grill got kinda loose at the bottom so i used a little "krazy" glue to glue it back and i kinda added too much so some of the super glue went on to the "visible area".... Now there's like a dried super glue line mark on the front of the bumper. Is there anyway i can get rid of the dried super glue but dotn harm the paint? i tried thinner, it didnt work... HELP

is it super glue or krazy glue? I know super glue is water soluble, but I don't know for sure about krazy glue.

Oh man.. lol that sux. If laquer thinner didn't help then my next step would be to go out and buy some 1000 grit and 1500 grit sandpaper.. and also some rubbing compound. First start with the 1000 grit sandpaper and wetsand the area you spilled the crazy glue on. Just gently glide the 1000 grit sandpaper that is wet over the area until it is level with the rest of the bumper. Use your fingers to feel if it is flat or not. Then use the 1500 grit wetsanding to smooth it out even more and to get rid of the roughness that you made with the 1000 grit sandpaper. After that, dry the area and use rubbing compound to polish the area to a nice shine. There still might be some marks in the paint.. add more rubbing compound and rub the **** out of it.. lol. Then use your favorite wax that is made to give a deep glossy shine to your paint. (not a cleaning wax). That should fix it.. I used these steps when I accidently spilled bondo on my paint when I was putting grill mesh on my old car.

its not water soluble.
Does Goo Gone harm the paint too?
where can i get rubbing compound locally? does autozone or kragen have it?
what exactly is rubbing compound? i have some "scratch X" at home, it says it fixes light surface scratches but it doesnt work on this krazy glue....i tried

Nail polish remover will work, soak a rag let it lay on the glue.Try it on spot under the bumper first to make sure it does not losen or discolor paint.Laquere thinner will
not work soaked a customer door lock for two days after his girl friend and him had aparting of ways.Found out hospitals use it when people glue body part together.

you can get rubbing compound at kragens or wherever. pick it up in their paint section. its similar to the scratch-x, only more aggressive. its not too expensive, my personal favorite brand is 3M good quality, and easy to use

good luck
