I now have in my possession a ported 4g93 intake manifold. Now I observed it carefully and it looks like there's still alot of meat that can be ground off. Rigos did a good job keeping the spiraled grooves around the edges to ensure a proper air/fuel mix. How does it look? Port more or is it fine as is?

Hey this is the thread I needed! I wanted the ported manifold from ///RRM, but enjoy working with metal and didn't really want to pay the price or have it pc'd red. I want it to look stock, for ummm...personal reasons (wink*wink) But after seeing these detailed pics, I am set to buy the rotary tool porting kit and do it myself! As for your question, I would atleast clean it up, and are those metal shavings inside the manifold (pics 1-4)?!?!!! Good buy, port it out and clean it up!
Well the previous owner already ported the runners somewhat, dont worry about the metal shavings, the whole IM will be cleaned with highly pressurized water then blown dry with compressed air.

yeh I am very curious to what color that IM was painted. What color red is that? It looks like it matches perfectly to the color of the AEM CAI...a deep, almost pearl red. I want to paint my underhood pieces that color.
btw...the port is pretty good as is. I wish there were stock, RRM, engineerboy pics to compare. But looks pretty good. Clean that sucka up and you're good to go!

i don't want to hijack kareem's thread, so YGPM
Did you PM Rhyzin as so with EB? Both have 1st hand experience.
I haven't seen in person porting the IM's runners, but i have seen porting on the TB flange side.
It's one of those things . . . I have to see it in person to accurately say an advice. Right now, it's an assumption of my part.
