Painting Valve Cover Red
OMG YES GET THIS PAINT! My buddy and I did our valve covers today, and let me tell you...this paint is by far the best there is. It enhances metallic surfaces and gives a nice deep color. IMHO, this paint is better than the stock painted valve covers on the Evos. I'll probably be the last to post pix, but it's all good. I'm very happy with it!

all of this is really helpful. hopefully i will be painting my valve cover and radiator brackets soon. BTW your ride looks really good jeff.

i bought some engine enamel at Advance Auto Parts for like 4.95$ it can withstand up to like 600 degrees or some insane number.. i painted my valve cover last summer and today its still as shinny as it was.. just make sure to take your time on it and it will turn out good.. but note for the first month i had it on my car my car gave off a weird smell from i guess the paint baking on the valve cover or something. anyways that smell is gone now so its all good..

Hmm... same thing happened on my friends Ford Escort,
took a while for it to go away though... It even smoked
for a bit.

no need to replace the valve cover gasket as long as you dont rip it off when take off your cover.. remember our cars are some what brand new (02-03) the valve cover gasket for our cars are good for another ten years probaly...
ohh and today i washed/waxed my car and i waxed my valve cover and u can see ur reflection in it

mmmm pretty. I how u left the letters silver. And I like the ralliart oilcap. How did you do the letters? Tape them off by putting a big piece of tape over it and then cutting around it with a razor blade?
