truthfully guys...the most powerful auto lancer cannot be judged by how much WHP and torque. You can have a turbo at 22x whp but tops off at 5200 rpm...and you can have SC at 200 whp and top off at 6200 rpm and the power is placed differently when you compare the two....the best way to see who has the best Auto is have a vary of tests...drag, salom, autox and etc. The car with the best results is KING.

To my brother nextgen....he has really taken this car to another level...I kno he hasnt told anyone of this...(he was saving the news for the right timing) ...he has brought the lancer to an empty highway...and decided to do some testings....
1st gear 15lbs
2nd gear 14lbs
3rd gear 13lbs

he got these results after installing the belt tensioner and a new aggressive tune...I then drove the car a day after and have achieved the same or similar results...You can see that this Kit has the chances to be 300+whp with stage 2!!!! I then raced him in my Mercedes at a slow rolling start...and i tell you this much...he took off with the quickness...and going going going faster till a stop sign....

i know for a fact that i will miss this car and i kno my brother will wonders with the EVO...for me...i have a nice project in mind... anyone is the local area want to come by and go for a spin in da auto SDS...please do so and you will feel the power of the car...

 

yeah but dude, no one with the ripp system has EVER provided track times, even you and your brother. could ripp sds be faster in the 1/4? i guess it could, but we have time slips with turbos, but no superchargers, so how do we know?

thats why i said "faster/most powerful" to cover all bases

 

i have not yet seen a time slip for an auto lancer

 

how about making the "stronger" part of the car more stronger, make it the great road handling car. who cares who has the fastest auto. i don't think thats something to brag about in my opionon. so make ur car handle the road courses, the twisties late at night. Auto cars will always suck... Yea i hit 15psi first gear, 2nd gear hit 14psi and 3rd i hit 13psi, i was making 200whp at 10psi. "power" is not everything

i dont believe you said autos will always suck. you, of all people. its like finding out jesus isnt real. well, i wont give up on my auto. i just want to be fast as hell driving an automatic telling people 'you just got beat by an auto'....stage 3 is gonna happen for me, as well as a future boring of my head and bigger pistons (not by much, i think .020) you broke my heart nextgen....

 

look, i don't want to turn this into a "autos suck, get manual" or "why try to make the lancer faster anyways, its so slow" thread like all the nooby threads.

bottom line is: my suspension mods are done, i've gone at far as necessary for me and next is power. the lancer, even auto, can make decent power if you have enough to spend and are willing to build up the necessary parts

as for the sds, i agree, its a formidable system, and if i lived on the east coast i would pick it up, however, i can't exactly drop into ripp once a month for a new tune or whatever, so its not a feasible choice for me. likewise, neither is the RRM kit, which is why i'm piecing my own together

 

hey i just called ripp, and asked what i would need to get stage 3 going. well roughly: pistons, crank pulley, belt...other stuff too but who knows untill ross gives us the low down. cant wait. im going new pistons and rods anyways, so i wont be to far from it. but i am going stage 2 by the end of next week, cars already at the shop. i will get it dynoed and 1/4 times as well. hopefully that would put an end to everyones concerns. and i have no tranny problems.

to upgrade 2 stage 3 with the sds what ross told u is what u need and a new intake manifold. I talked to ross before about workin a stage 3 kit with him cause i'm set to go, but the intake manifold sucks, too small. and for greenpysco, u don't have to drive ur car to ripp to get a new tune, take out ur black box and ship it to Ripp, the look at it put in the new tune and send it back to u. Ok autos do not suck, well they don't suck if u have a 2 gear drag tranny and have over 1000whp hehe

were saying if u want too u don't have too, u can stick to ur tune, but lets say someone brought in there car like me and have an aggressive tune someone else can get that tune. but the tune i have is only in my box
