someone has to be able to flash the ECU so the auto trannys shift at higher RPMs, right? Aren't the trannys "smart" and "learn" the drivers driving style in the first 10 minutes or something? If that's the case, why not make it Einstein and shift closer to 6K at a track, and switch back to regular for the street?

Or just manually shift your auto

As for my lifter tick, I had it this bad the last time I rebuilt my head, but it went away. I'm thinking that a couple of the lift adjusters need reoiling or something.

yeah, your right about the computer, and i believe level ten has such a product wgere you can also manually shift it, but its like 400 bucks and i don't need it that much

besides, when i'm WOT, it doesn't shift until above 6000

 

same here. lol i've heard sum newbs on this board that have been manually shifting.. and they sayy... their 3rd gear just isnt the same anymore. My upgrade path is gonna be Stage 2 RRM turbo. I gotta get the monkey off my back 1st lol. Then im gonna drive to Level 10 let them do hela mods lol. hopefully they can install some new rods n pistons. and Amen to what Archangelite said. i wanna be that guy thats makes people say.., " That dude got smoked by an auto" its just about the same principle as owning a sleeper car your opponent will have the same "WTF" look on his face

or when someone challenges you to a 1/4 mile, you can be like "well, ok, but your gonna school me cause i'm an auto and you can launch alot better" LOL
