Guess My Time

I just wanted to say Hi to everyone as I am new on here. I wanted to hit the ground running and ask what you think my time will be when I go to SantaPod raceway in a few weeks. On the bottom I have posted my mods just let me know what you think. This run will be made on enkei RS7 17's in an 04 Lancer OZ.

16.6-ish depending on weather. "high-mids" mostly because of the weight of the 17s I believe this Enkei wheel comes in at just over 1#/inch so they're at least 17# plus tire. They're a little heavy for an NA lancer. But, it looks like you have a good start going there, keep it up

This is something that I've always wondered: When a person says "Mid___'s" are they saying "__.5" if so why don't they just say __.5 seconds? Or does .4 - .06 qualify as "Mid?" It's a valid question right?

And who do you suppose put the alphabet in the order we have it in today? I bet its the same guy that made the song. And do you suppose the guy that wrote the lyrics to "twinkle, twikle little star" ripped off the melody from the ABC song guy or do you think it was the other way around?

PS- You'll run 16.6827seconds (I just pulled that out of my ****) Do tell us how you do though.

actually, the alphabet song is Mozart's "Lullaby" that he wrote when he was 5. Yes, you read that right, five years old. Catchy tune, huh? So Mozart was first and then I think the alphabet song and twinkle twinkle

No stiffer suspention or lowering springs?? That might help with weight transfer to front and back when you take off and shift gears too..
My guess if you haven't raced at the track before will be high 16 or 17's... just because of driver calculations. If you have experience you might be able to pull off a 16.4 or a little lower if the temp is cool and humidity is low. So many variables.. oil, tires, track cond, etc..

If this is your first time, be prepared for 17s. If you're an auto, prepare for 17s. Otherwise, 16.72 is my guess.

I ran 16.702 on a crappy track and bald tires. So you should be below that. My signature tells what mods I've got.

That was my first(and only) time racing at the track. More experience might have gotten me lower. My 16.702 run was with a freshly reseted Ecu. Disconnected my battery for a while, hooked it back up, got in line and turned off the car until it was my turn. I had DuctTape for a shift knob that day, so a better grib could have shaved maybe .001 or .002 as well.

You've got pretty much the same mods as me, and you've got some P&P parts. So you're time should be better than mine. I say maybe between 16.2 and 16.4

Man, I want to get my car out to the track.. but if I did I'd want to strip out my interior, lol. Mine has been running really good lately besides the slipping clutch. I took it up north and drove over 1000 miles round trip. I think it cleared out some buildup from all my city driving or something. It feels fresh and strong for some reason. Or it could also be because I switched back to Mobile 1 synthetic oil and a K&N metal screen oil filter. I think I'd run pretty good times.. that is, when I get my stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel put in after I order it next week.
