2003 to 2004 fitment.

I hate searching the for sale stuff for the lancer and findong good deals but not knowing what all for the 2003 will also fit the 04.

so i did some searching but couldn't exact stuff so I decided to make a thread on this for my knowledge and others that can help. I think it would help to make a list of all the parts from the 2003 lancer that can be used on the 2004 lancer.

Like so far, I know the RRM headers, short ram intakes, and magnaflow axelback fit the 2004.

But the catbacks (i was told), intake manifold, turbos, and piggyback (i think they made a new one for all years now) dont fit onto the 2004.

So any input on other parts not out specifically for the 04 that fit from the 03 would be greatly appreciated.

Catback fits, I got an 03 Buschur catback on my 05. CAI fits with slight altercations, I got an 03 on my 05 also. All short shifters fit, as well as Kartboy bushings and exhaust hangers. Deyeme bushings and mounts also fit.

Does anyone know if, since we have the same engine, are all the internals fit from '03-'04? I know the pistons and cam gears do, but what about sam shafts and stuff?

Why wouldnt you just keep your axle back and buy a centerpipe.

The differance between the 02/03 and the 04+ is that on the ralliart there is a bunghole in a different location. There are other small differences but most systems fit both as far as Ive seen.

Yeah I'm keeping the axelback cause its good enough. I'm waiting till I go turbo to do out the whole exhaust.

you have to get it used... they no longer make parts anymore... as far as the dp and cat... i dont know as your dp and cat are one piece if i remember right... but if you replaced both at the same time... they might. you will have to call bushur and see if they have anymore left( i know they out of catbacks cuz i got the last one ) or if you can find them used

yeah i know they're done with lancer base model, I'm just going to wait on the turbo from RRM, then go get from the turbo back custom welded to my magnaflow axelback and I might get a magnaflow cat too. we'll see.

lol, I'm pretty positive everything on the interior is exactly the same, including the evo, except the evo has a different lid on the compartment where you elbow rests between the seats.

ok so i was leaving campus and an 02-03 was parked next to me, and i noticed that his wheel base was the same as mine (least from what i could tell). So wouldn't sideskirts for 02-03 fit 04+? maybe it was too early in the morning to be thinking, but to me it looks like they would.
