sux...does this mean I gotta put my cat back on? I hate going back to the stealership...when they see your car all modded and roll into the service center, they look at like it's the devils daily driver.

Looks like I'll have to take the OZ in.

Well, another excuse to go look at Evos!

umm well i'll give my review of the recall... from the autp persepective.... when you let off the gas at any rpms, the car will continue to pull a bit, doesn't want to slow down as much as usually causing me to use my breaks more... sees like when u let off the gas it still wants to go... but who knows.

i went to the stealership this morning and the guy looked up last 8 of my VIN and found no recalls. This is totally ****ed up becuase when i called HQ on friday evening, the rep said that yeah there is a pcm recall under my recall records and when i went to the stealership, the guy said that computer doesnt show any recalls under my VIN. The service tech also told me that we use the same system at HQ and dealership so it is not like database has not been updated......

Now my question is that, is it possible that they deleted my pcm record right after i called them?

or they will first send out the notification letter and than it will show up again?

I recommend u guys to call HQs on tuesday on the ph# that i posted on the first post and make sure what is shows up under your records. This ****t is really confusing.

I must correct you. RRM designed a remap and paid a computer programmer who had the needed tools to reflash the US Lancer, and a number of us (including me) had it done to our cars. It altered the fuel map as well as raised the rev limiter. The problem was that the programmer charged over $500 and so few people were willing to pay the price that RRM stopped offering the service.

and I don't think Mitsubishi is required to send mail for recalls unless it is a safety issue. Other than that, they just run a check every time you take your car in for a service. That's why I rely on other methods to find recalls, because I do most service on my Lancer myself.

It is for all models, and yes the rpm's hang on the upshift in my ride too, sort of like they hang way too long before dropping to where they ought to be on an upshift.
