02-03 Lancers *READ!!!*

I've heard many times about lancers with a clacking noise when at idle and it gets worse when the ac is in use but goes away when the clutch is engaged, this is due to the throwout bearing being broken. Now for the longest time and even every person I've spoken too has said that Mitsubishi can only replace it but it will soon again break. Well, I called Mitsubishi to see if a new fix has been done and sure enough a service bulletin was just posted in the last month. They said they have a new fix for it and that should elliminate the issue. Tomorrow my car will be going in so hopefully their new fix will work. I'll keep everyone updated so that others may have theirs fixed as well. It's also under warranty, under the power-train warranty. wish me luck.

Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking? Take them an ACT clutch disc and pressure plate and say "while you're in there..." and smile?
